Compensatory Education Advisory Committee
The Compensatory Education Advisory Committee (CEAC or also referred to as Title I) advises the school on how to improve the academic achievement of students and makes budgetary and other recommendations to the School Site Council. Title I is a School-Wide Program at Dahlia Heights. The state and federal governments provide our school with funding, to help all students meet state standards. Each fall, new parent representatives are elected to our Council, which includes parents, teachers, administrators, and staff. Meetings are held monthly and visitors are welcome.
English Learner Advisory Committee
The ELAC committee advises the school on how to improve the academic achievement of English Learner students and makes budgetary and other recommendations to the School Site Council. Each fall, new parent representatives are elected to our council, which includes parents, teachers, administrators and staff. Meetings are held monthly and visitors are welcome.
School Site Council
Each fall, new parent representatives are elected to the School Site Council (SSC). This committee is comprised of parents, teachers, administrators, and other staff members. This committee works with the administration on the school budget and the academic or school improvement plan. In addition to academic planning, it is also responsible for making decisions about safety, improvements and discipline. We urge you to attend these monthly meetings and gain a direct voice in the policies of Dahlia Heights.
Elections & Quorums
Elections are held in September or October. Meetings are held monthly from November through May. These meetings are usually held during the afternoon. Quorums are necessary to conduct business.
